Case 65- C-Section Scar Revision

This is a patient in her 40s who was bothered by the appearance of her c-section scar and the extra fat in her abdomen. She underwent a c-section scar revision and liposuction of the abdomen. C-section scars often do not heal well because they are not closed in layers, which leads to skin healing directly to muscle, rather than there being an intervening fatty layer. By cutting out the old scar and closing it in the appropriate fashion, this can lead to a much flatter and less noticeable scar!
