Restore your youthful appearance with Hyaluronic Acid (dermal fillers)
At Revitalize Plastic Surgery, we offer a full range of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers to help restore volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial contours — all without surgery or significant downtime. Whether you’re seeking a refreshed look or more defined features, dermal fillers offer a customizable, non-invasive solution for graceful rejuvenation.
What Are Hyaluronic Acid Fillers?
Hyaluronic acid is a gel-like substance that is naturally found in our bodies. It attracts and retains moisture, giving your skin volume and hydration. With age, natural HA levels diminish, leading to volume loss, wrinkles, and skin laxity. Hyaluronic Dermal Fillers are non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) produced through bacterial fermentation. These are FDA approved injectable dermal fillers that instantly smooth away wrinkles and add fullness.
These typically last 6 months to 18 months depending on the location where it is used and the characteristics of the product. Unlike other fillers, hyaluronic acid fillers may be reversed by injecting an enzyme to dissolve them in the body.
There are numerous brands of hyaluronic acid fillers and each has different formulations. We carry the following products:
Juvederm®
Juvederm® has a unique HYLACROSS™ technology, which gives Juvederm XC its special smooth-gel consistency. Some of the formulations we typically carry are Juvederm® Ultra Plus, Juvederm Voluma®, Juvederm Vobella® and Juvederm Vollure®.
Restylane®
The Restylane® family of products uses advanced technology that helps maintain natural expression in motion for treatment of facial folds. Some of the formulations we typically carry are Restylane®, Restylane Lyft®, Restylane Defyne®, and Restylane Refyne®.
RHA®
RHA® is the only FDA approved dermal filler for dynamic wrinkles and folds. A dynamic wrinkle is an area that moves repetitively. RHA was developed to be resilient and adapt to your facial movement to provide natural looking movement. The difference is in the gentle manufacturing process which helps preserve the natural structure of the hyaluronic acid. There are three formulations in the RHA® Collection, and your provider will help you determine which one is best for your treatment plan.
Other dermal fillers may be added to our practice depending on the market demand and medical research. Our providers will work with you to determine the best product to meet your aesthetic goals.
Am I a good candidate for HA filler?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers are an excellent option if you’re looking for immediate, natural-looking results to restore volume and smooth fine lines. Ideal candidates often include:
- Adults 18+ who are in good health
- Individuals with mild to moderate facial volume loss
- Patients noticing fine lines, wrinkles, or areas of hollowness
- Those seeking quick results with little to no downtime
- People who prefer a reversible treatment option
- Healthy adults with realistic expectations
Our team will assess your unique goals and recommend the best filler—or combination of treatments—to achieve natural and balanced results.
What to Expect
All HA filler treatments are performed in-office and typically require little downtime. Fillers are injected using fine needles or cannulas, depending on the treatment area and desired outcome. Most patients return to normal activities right after treatment.
Treatment Time: 30–45 minutes
Downtime: Minimal (may experience mild swelling or bruising)
Results: Immediate improvement in volume and contour, with final results visible once swelling subsides
Longevity: Most HA fillers last 6–18 months, depending on the product used and the area treated
Recovery
Recovery is minimal. We ask that you avoid any strenuous exercise or activities where your head is below the heart until the day following your injection. While every attempt is made to limit bruising from your injection, some bruising is still possible. Using ice and Arnica after your procedure can limit this. Swelling and bruising can take up to 2 weeks to completely resolve. It is important to consider the timing of your injection to avoid any important life events. We also recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before having any facials, massages, etc. to prevent migration of the product.
We believe in providing exemplary care, so if you have any concerns do not hesitate to contact our office.
Risks and Side Effects
HA fillers are considered very safe when administered by a qualified injector. Choosing an experienced provider is essential to ensure safety and natural results.
Possible side effects may include:
- Temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site
- Mild tenderness or firmness under the skin
- Rare risks such as asymmetry, lumps, or vascular complications (very uncommon when performed by trained injectors)
